Hi, I’m Morag
I’ve been running Paws for Thought Pet Services since 2008. Before that, I helped my friend pet sitting. I enjoyed it so much I started my own business! I have two dogs of my own, a Border Terrier and a Border Terrier/Shih Tsu mix.
I hold a Diploma in K9 behaviour and for your reassurance and peace of mind, I am police checked and I’m fully insured with the appropriate Pet Business Insurance. On request, I can also provide references.
I have also had great success with dogs who have had problems from fearfulness to separation anxiety and these dogs are now happily integrated within the group of dogs who come out with me and having fun! I really enjoy the work I do and love to see dogs exercised and having fun!
All dogs are safely transported wearing approved seatbelts.
Dog Walking
I can offer either one to one walks or group walks of no more than four dogs at a time. I like to meet owners and their dogs first, so an initial meeting is better to see if we like each other, then go out for some fun walks!
Walking is also available for Assistance Dogs.
Pet & House Sitting
Having a trusted pet sitter can be a real lifesaver when you need to step out!
Not only does it spare your furry friends the stress of being alone, but it also ensures they’re pampered and cared for in the comfort of their own home.
Plus, with regular updates from me, you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are happy, safe, and in loving hands. It’s like having a friend at home, just for them!
Cat Visits
If you’re going on holiday and need your cat fed and water topped up and litter tray changed I can do this for you no problem. Plant watering, security checks, mail lifted etc can also be done if required.
Small Animals
I’ve had experience looking after hamsters, chinchillas, rabbits, and even rats. You don’t need to worry, they’ll be well looked after, so give me a call and I’ll sort it all.

Morag has been our dog walker for 8 years now and we are extremely happy with the quality service she provides. Our Springer Spaniel Millie was a rescue puppy and was quite timid. Morag helped gain Millie’s trust and was very patient. Morag made sure Millie was either walked on her own or with other dogs who helped her gain confidence. Millie came on leaps and bounds and still really enjoys her walks with Morag. We have found Morag to be trustworthy, reliable and flexible. This has been very helpful as I work shifts and sometimes can only give short notice requests for walks. Morag is so obviously an animal lover and cares deeply about all the pets she cares for. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a quality reliable pet service.
Morag has been walking Arnold, my chocolate Labrador, for over 3 years & he so looks forward to his walks, his excitement at seeing Morag is evident by his furiously wagging tail. Morag really knows, understands, & loves the dogs in her care. Arnold is quite a nervous dog & thanks to Morag he has really come out of his shell & now loves playing with other dogs on his walks. He arrives back tired, with a big smile on his face.
Morag is very reliable, & flexible having helped us on occasions by taking Arnold out at very short notice. If you are looking for someone who will love & care for your dog as much as you do, I can highly recommend Morag.
Jasper has been visited every Monday by Morag for over 6 years now and it is one of his most exciting points in the week. He gets so excited and loves his walks with Morag and the dog group, literally squeaking as he goes out the door! Morag takes wonderful care of all animals, we are very comfortable leaving Mr Jasper with her whilst we go on vacation and she kindly often pops in for the cat too 🙂 It would be chaos without her!!
Morag is a very good dog walker and very caring. She takes her responsibilities very seriously and is properly qualified. Bailey loves going out with her. So much so that he is listening for her arriving. He comes back having run off most of his energy and they visit quite a few places. He always comes back happy but tired.
